Merindu Siapa?

Since my short post on: kusut merindu, I've been receiving more then ten messages (email/sms/etc) asking me, "Jue, kau rindu siapa ni... hehe.."

Senyum.

:: Leaving to the memorial place tonight.
:: Plus, missing someone I love most. She is my strength. Smile.

POINT OF VIEW

Islam

Islam, a name given by Allah to this religion (Quran 5:4), is an Arabic word which literally means obedience and peace. ISLAM is derived from the Arabic root "SALEMA": peace, purity, submission and obedience. So 'Islam' would mean the path of those who are obedient to Allah and who establish peace with Him and His creatures. Its follower are called Muslims.

Islam is not a new religion. It is, in essence, the same message and guidance which Allah revealed to all prophets before Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Allah says in the Qur’ân:

"Say, `We believe in ALLAH and that which has been revealed to us, and that which was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and in that which was given to Moses and Jesus and other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them and to HIM we submit." (Qur’ân 3-85)

Six main Articles of faith in Islam

The Five Pillars of Islam (Declaration of the Islamic Faith)

In order to enter into the fold of Islam i.e. to be Muslim, one has to know, believe, accept totally and sincerely apply the five basic principles (Pillars) on which Islam is based: Ibn Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah - Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said: Islam is based on the following five pillars (principles).

  1. Bearing witness that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah
  2. Observance of Prayer
  3. Paying Zakat
  4. Fasting during Ramadhan
  5. Pilgrimage to the house of Allah.

JOM Rebut!: 10 Malam Terakhir!

“Sesunguhnya Kami telah menurunkannya (al-Quran) pada malam kemuliaan. Dan tahukah kamu apakah malam kemuliaan itu. Malam kemuliaan itu lebih baik dari seribu bulan. Jom kita rebut dengan ibadah penuh syukur 10 malam terakhir dalam bulan yang penuh rahmat ini. InsyaAllah kita tidak akan terlepas dari malam lailatul qadar. Semoga doa saya juga dimakbulkan, amin.

Setinta

Jika kita memandang ke langit, langit kita luas terbentang,
Jika kita membelek dahi sendiri, dahi kita luas – bijaksana,
Bila kita renung sekuntum bunga,
Bunga senyum pada kita, walaupun duka dirinya,
Tetapi mengapa kita kurang yakin pada diri?
Takut. Lemah. Tiada semangat.
Majulah kerana setiap dari kita pasti ada kelebihan sendiri.
Majulah.

HR Acronym: TNA

Training Needs Analysis:
To assess an organization’s training needs. The root of the TNA is the gap analysis. This is an assessment of the gap between the knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristic (KSAOs) that the employee in the organization currently possess and the KSAOs that they require to meet the organization’s objectives. HR: Training

Is training important?
Seeing it from HR, management and organization's perspectives, yes it is important. Its not only important, but its a need in any organization to be successful. Training is when someone is the process of being taught how to do something.

What is training needs?
Training needs is the amount or type of training that needs to be given to the employees of an organization in order to make up for a shortage of skills or abilities that is preventing the organization from fulfilling its aims and operating effectively.

*Presentation during my WAI training back then-great team I had!
[click picture to get bigger view]

Types of Trainings:
There are two types f training in organization (1) on-the-job-training: training given to employees at their place of work, (2) off-the-job-training: training given to employees away from their place of work (such as at a college, school, resort, etc).

Training and Coaching:
Training is when someone is taught on something, while coaching is a face-to-face instruction where a subordinate is shown how to change their behaviour. So, it can conclude that they are spouse as they do need each other!

Questions:
As an employee, have you been given the right and enough trainings by your employer/organization? You can answer that. I rest my case.

HR: Turnover vs Employee Oriented

Many studies show that companies with low turnover rates are very employee oriented. Employee oriented organizations solicit input and involvement from all employees and maintain a true "open-door" policy. Employees are given opportunities for advancement and are not micro-managed. Employees believe they have a voice and are recognized for their contribution.

Great Bargain?

Earlier post (taken from The STAR online today), has snapped me off about my team project on particular airlines in Malaysia (years back). The mission was: to study, learn and identify the internal problems in the organization with suggestions on each problems identified.

After few months of stress and yell, five major issues have been identified (i.e. top heavy) and should be look into seriously (from our perspectives of course, which based on research. Yes-we are just some students (that time) and all ideas/suggestions will only be on our paperwork.

Today's appointment of the former MAS CEO and managing director as the CEO of Pemandu, the unit monitoring the implementation of the key performance indicator (KPI) initiative-will be something to think about; does he has the capability? *Or some will say, "oh, its nothing to do with me la-well what is KPI anyway..". What do you think?

Guess, we need to give him sometime to prove it.
Hopefully it's a great bargain (or not?).
I rest my case.

HR: Benchmarking

Benchmarking is a technique that uses quantitative or qualitative data to make comparisons between different organizations or different sections of organizations. Benchmarking is usually treated as a continuous process in which organizations periodically measure, challenge, and improve their practices.
